Meeting and Event Planner Goals

The simple answer:

We are a corporate event management compamy. We do meetings, executive retreats, corporate team building events, fundraising and charity events, company parties, and just about anything else that involves gathering together a group of people for a special occasion

CMPI blends the talents of two highly succesful companies - one with years of experience in special events including some of Vancouver's most creative and high-profile charity events - and the other, an outdoor adventure company that has led executives over rapids and up mountainsides. Because of our combined experience and expertise, we are able to provide you wiht uparalleled service, unique selection and comprehensive event management.

From the initial consultation on, we do everything there is to do. From developing a theme for the event to designing the invitations and event signage, we handle every detail large and small.

Based on the goals, budget, image and personality of your company as well as the goals for the particular event, we make some suggestions. Once everything is agreed upon, we make it happen. It is as simple and comprehensive as that . We are a one-stop event management and event marketing company. Think of us as the turnkey solution for your next Annual General Meeting, employee or customer appreciation event, community event, team building seminar, corporate retreat or fundraising event.

The longer answer:

To say that we are an event planning company is a bit like suggesting that Giorgio Armani sews cloth.

We make it possible for you to deliver your message in a way that people not only hear it, but buy into it.

The truth isn't the truth until people believe you, and they can't believe you if they don't know what you're saying, and they can't know what you're saying if they don't listen to you, and they won't listen to you if you're not interesting, and you won't be interesting unless you say things imaginatively, originally, freshly.

There are multiple layers to what you do. As a successful business you keep abreast of political, social and economic trends. You monitor what is happening inside your business and out. You pay attention to the culture of your workplace, weeding out the toxic and the undesirable. You keep employees motivated, committed and satisfied. When you hold a meeting you have a goal, something you want to accomplish. But you know that to really get people’s attention, to make them truly understand and share that goal is not as simple as standing up and telling them about it.

We are full of creative, original, imaginative and fresh ideas on how to achieve what you are looking for and we tailor them to fit your business, its image, the purpose of the meeting – and, of course your budget too.

We are here are for you. We do the work, you take the praise – and we are okay with that.
We have two primary goals – to make the life of the person planning the meeting as easy as possible and then to make the meeting the best it possibly can be.

Imagine a meeting where people actually show up early, fight for seats, and pay attention to what is being said instead of daydreaming about a perfect golf swing. Studies show, holding such a meeting would put you in the minority. According to a 1998 study conducted in the United States, 91 percent of professionals for whom meetings are a regular part of their day admit to daydreaming. 96 percent admit to missing meetings, 73 percent say they have brought along other work to do during the meeting and 39 percent say they have actually dozed off during meetings.

Meetings are a bit like first dates – you are either counting the minutes until they are over or are completely oblivious to the passing of time.

Fortunately holding a good meeting is not nearly as hard as finding a mate. With meetings, it is all about the planning and preparation.

You know your business. You understand your market, your product and your people. So do we. We make it our business to know what matters to you – not just the details, like the number of people attending or whether you will need a projector or a DVD player. We take the time to find out about your company’s history, goals and strengths and the qualities that matter most to you in an employee.

That’s because our business is helping our clients succeed. We offer more than just someone to make those telephone calls, we offer you professional advice on how to make sure your meeting or event fits in with your broader vision for the company.
Our product is simple we bring out the best in our clients and then showcase it to whomever they want. We take care of the details so that you can focus on what matters most – your business.

By creating situations that allow you to accomplish what you need to, we make sure people leave recharged instead of drained.

A well-planned meeting or retreat gives employees a reason to feel proud, respected and motivated and customers and shareholders a reason to trust and believe in you.

Remember that Chinese dinner for four analogy – and yes, we had promised to let that one go. But if you really like those lengthy menus (I know of one that is over 20 pages long) then this list is for you. Basically it just tells you we do everything – absolutely everything – involved in putting the meeting together. Think turnkey solutions that would make Michael Gerber proud. At the same time, if you only want us to take on certain aspects of the event, well, we can do that too. We are flexible because it really is all about you.
